Where is ELBO ROOM located?
2871 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, Il 60657. One Block North of Diversey where Lincoln intersects with George and Lakewood.
What are your hours?
Bar opens to the public 7:00pm daily. Bar stays open approximately 30-60 mins after the last music performance. Doors close no later than 2:00am daily except on Saturday which is 3:00am. Bands load in at 7:00pm daily and load out after the last bands performance.
Do you offer parking? Where can I park?
There is no parking lot/garage or valet at The Elbo Room. There is metered (8am-9pm) street parking on Lincoln Ave. You can find non-metered parking on the side streets of George and Lakewood. Be aware of permit signs, street cleaning, snow plow and towing notifications posted in the neighborhood.
Are you wheelchair friendly/handicapped accessible?
We have several stairs leading up to the cocktail lounge and then down to the venue. Elbo Room staff is able and willing to help anybody needing assistance to gain entry into our establishment and get to either floor for drinks/entertainment. Please notify the doorman if such assistance is needed. There are no ramps or elevators on site.
Are you near a CTA train station?
CTA Diversey Brown/Purple Line or Belmont Red Line.
What kind of music do you have?
We have an eclectic mix of artists that grace the two stages at our establishment. Music is generally original Rock/Alternative/Bluegrass/Country/Folk/Acoustic/Americana/Singer-Songwritter/Comedy/Experimental and last but not least… AWESOME!
What is your capacity?
Elbo Room’s legal capacity is 193.
What time is curfew?
On every night except Saturday, our curfew is 2:00am. It is 3:00am on Saturday nights. However, we tend to close shortly after the last band finishes playing.
Is there a dress code?
As long as you are wearing clothes… you are alright in our book.
Do you offer a coat check?
On special occasions (ie: New Years, Holiday Parties) we offer coat check to our guests.
How does ticketing work?
You can purchase tickets at our online box office: http://www.elboroomlive.com.
What is your policy on transferring tickets?
It is very simple. You must call/e-mail the club [773-549-5549 / info @ elboroomlive [dot] com] and notify them that you would like to transfer your tickets. We just need to know the name you would like the tickets to be picked up under for will-call and we will make the changes.
If a show “sells out”, is it possible to get ANY tickets?
Check the band/artists website to see if they have any additional tickets for sale. You can always call the club and see if any additional tickets have been released. Once a show is sold out, we are generally unable to sell any more tickets online.
Do you have an in-house box office?
Not at this time. You can buy tickets the day of the show at the door and/or buy them in advance from our online box office: http://www.elboroomlive.com.
Do you take credit cards for tickets and/or for a bar tab?
We do accept Credit Cards for a bar tab with a $20 minimum. We are only able to accept cash at the door for tickets. We do have an ATM onsite if you need to access you cash quick and easy. You can also use your credit card to purchase tickets in advance through our online box office: http://www.elboroomlive.com
Do you have assigned seating or is it General Admission?
Elbo Room is a standing room only General Admission music venue. We have a small number of booths, tables, benches, stools and chairs for sitting.
Can I reserve a TABLE, BOOTH, and/or SEATING?
There is NO reserved seating.
Do you rent the club out for private parties/events?
Yes we do. Visit our PARTIES and RENTALS sections of the website for more information and pricing.
How does my band get booked?
If you would like to be considered for booking at The Elbo Room, please submit a promo kit to Adam’s attention at: THE ELBO ROOM, 2871 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60657. ** We prefer to receive electronic press kits/band websites, facebook, bandcamp, sonicbids and reverbnation links to Adam’s attention at info @ elboroomlive [dot] com *** Every promo kit is listened to, so give your submission 2 to 3 weeks to be heard, then call the club for a follow up and possible booking at 773.549.5549 (Monday-Friday, 1:00PM – 7:00PM).
Do you offer internships? How do I apply?
The ELBO ROOM is looking for you… especially if you are looking for an internship. Internships run 6-36 hours per week, and cover a wide array of tasks and responsibilities. Internships are unpaid, but are a great opportunity for experience and networking. Past interns have moved on to great industry jobs working with companies like LIVE NATION, JAM PRODUCTIONS, KMA MANAGEMENT, FOH/TOUR MANAGEMENT positions with touring national acts and more. I’m interested in joining the ELBO ROOM Street Team- how do I join? What does the Street Team do?
Who loves hitting the streets to put up posters and distribute flyers? The ELBO ROOM Street Team is an elite group of dedicated individuals who help us publicize upcoming shows throughout Chicago in exchange for tickets, drinks, food, and more. Prior experience is helpful, and so is a vehicle or bike but not necessary. To join please email info @ elboroomlive [dot] com.
What are your photography / taping policy?
Our photography and taping policies are dictated by the policies of the bands playing the show in question, so check with the band’s official website for the most accurate answer. If your band is performing at ELBO ROOM and would like to have a photographer or somebody to tape the show onsite they must be 21+. If you have an audio engineer to record the show, there is no fee if they bring in their own mics and recording equipment. If they would like to split off the snake and/or get a feed from the board, there will be a $20 fee. You also have the option to utilize one of the IN-HOUSE recording packages from $30-$150 that will get you a mix straight to CD, 24 track hard disk recording and/or a full studio mix down of your audio performance.
Do you serve food?
Elbo Room has PIZZA (mexican/peperoni/cheese), Beef Jerky and snacks on site. We also have delivery menus from local vendors if you want to enjoy something else at the club.
Do you have any specials?
Check the website or ask the bartender for our daily specials. We usually offer a featured drink, a draft beer, a beer of the month and a can special nightly.
Do you offer bottle service?
At this time, ELBO ROOM does not offer bottle service.
What are the age restrictions for shows at ELBO ROOM? Are all shows 21+?
By law, all of our shows are 21+, and we require a state-issued (driver’s licence, state ID, passport) unexpired photo ID. If you have a parking ticket and no backup form of ID, we are unable to let you in.
Can my underage child come see a show if I (the parent) escort them?
The Elbo Room is unable to have any person(s) under the age of 21 in attendance to see a show and/or hang out at the club. We are unable to have children/teenagers in our establishment event with an adult escort. We do stream all of the performances live from our website and http://www.justin.tv/elboroomchicago so they can still see the show from the comfort and safety of home.

Did ELBO ROOM find my Credit Card, Glasses, Coat, Phone, Purse, Gear, Dignity, and Vintage Guitar?
The best thing to do is to double check to make sure you didn’t misplace them in your car, friend’s house, etc. If you feel you did leave something behind, feel free to call/stop by any time after 7pm to check our lost and found area.
Can we bring our own alcohol into the club [band/manager/patron/fan]?
Bands are not allowed to bring their own alcohol into our club. We typically confiscate any outside alcohol and will kick the band/member/manager/patron/fan out of the venue. Same goes for smoking in the bathrooms and doing drugs off of groupies body parts.
